ESA/JRC International Summer School on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) 2015, 31 August - 10 September, Barcelona, Spain

Euromed GNSS II - MEDUSA project

  • All day long Think Tank: Exploiting the potential of E-GNSS in non-EU countries for road regulated applications

Tunis, Tunisia (19 May 2015) - The Think Tank is oriented to industry, business and research sectors involved in the fields of "geolocalization" and Intelligent Transport Systems, as well as to road operators and public bodies. It features interactive discussions from different perspectives, policy, user needs, technology and commercial.

  • MEDUSA - in action for aviation: Pathways to introduce EGNOS operations in North Africa and Middle East

Rabat, Morocco (16 - 27 March 2015) - A regional advanced training course on the design of Required Navigation Performance Approach Instrument Flight Procedures (RNP APCH IFP).

Organised by MEDUSA and hosted by the Morocco Civil Aviation Authority (Directorate of Civil Aviation), the course was taught by qualified IFP design instructors from ENAV, the Italian Navigation Service Provider.

Coordinated by Telespazio, the MEDUSA (MEDiterranean follow-Up for EGNOS Adoption) project belongs to the Euromed GNSS framework, part of the Euromed Transport programme. MEDUSA aids the Euromed countries towards the operational introduction and the exploitation of the European GNSS (EGNOS/Galileo) in various applications, mainly in the transport sectors. MEDUSA implements a programme of technical assistance actions in the Euromed countries, aimed at capacity building, development of enablers and regional cooperation on EGNOS/Galileo.
