The Astrophysics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan conducts certain monitoring of circumterrestrial space for scientific research purposes. Subject to the availability of modern CCD technology, the Institute can participate in research of space debris and monitoring of near-Earth objects within the framework of the International Heliophysical Year.
