The use of space-derived geospatial data for sustainable development in the United Nations system

The 4 th open informal session on "The use of space-derived geospatial data for sustainable development in the United Nations system " was held on 19 January 2007 in Vienna in conjunction with the 26 th session of the United Nation Inter-Agency Meeting on Outer Space Activities.

The session was organized by the Office for Outer Space Affairs. Presentations  were made by representatives of the Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) , United Nations Institute for Training and Research Operational Satellite Applications Programme (UNOSAT), World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees  (UNHCR), International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG), and the United Nations Platform for Space-based Information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response (UN-SPIDER) .
