Space-related activities of United Nations entities in Africa

The 6 th open informal session on "Space-related activities of United Nations entities in Africa" was held on 6 March 2009 in Vienna in conjunction with the 29th session of the United Nation Inter-Agency Meeting on Outer Space Activities.

The session was organized by the Office for Outer Space Affairs. Presentations featured activities involving the use of space technology, carried out by the Office for Outer Space Affairs, International Telecommunications Union, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, World Meteorological Organization, and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
