The overall objective of this regional workshop is to promote the integrated use of the demonstrated capabilities of space technology to support national, regional and international efforts in water resources management and environmental protection that could reduce the vulnerability of water caused natural disaster and mitigate its happening. This workshop will focus on using space technologies to improve water and environmental managements and to reduce natural disasters such as: flood, drought, climate change caused water related disasters, deforestation, forest fire, and land use.
