UN-Space is an interagency mechanism for coordinating space-related activities within the United Nations system. The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs serves as the UN-Space Secretariat.
The international community seeks to balance access to the benefits of the exploration and peaceful use of outer space with the need to preserve and protect the outer space environment for future generations. A Working Group of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee is devoted to this theme.
The Tenth Meeting of the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG) will be hosted by the Government of the United States of America in Boulder, Colorado, 1 - 6 November 2015. The meeting is being organized by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) on behalf of the US Department of State.
