Capacity- Building

The Office of Outer Space Affairs aims to disseminate information and build capacity on space-related topics, with a focus on serving developing countries. The Office organizes training courses, workshops and seminars, provides technical advisory services, and administers fellowship programmes in space science and technology applications. The Office also organizes capacity-building initiatives on space law and is affiliated with Regional Centres for Space Science and Technology Education.

Photo: UN News and MediaWhile there is undeniable value in the pure scientific exploration of outer space, there are also many practical applications for space technology. Special skills and expertise are, however, often required to make the most effective use of these technologies.
