The schematic overview of national regulatory frameworks was developed from 2009 to 2013 through the work of the Working Group on National Legislation Relevant to the Peaceful Exploration and Use of Outer Space, on the basis of national legal instruments, and with information and updates provided by Member States.
At its fifty-second session, in 2013, the Legal Subcommittee agreed that it was important to continue to exchange information regularly on developments in the area of national space-related regulatory frameworks and encouraged member States to continue to submit to the Secretariat texts of their national space laws and regulations, as well as to provide updates and inputs to the schematic overview of national regulatory frameworks for space activities (see A/AC.105/1045, para. 92).
The schematic overview national regulatory frameworks for space activities will be continuously developed by the Secretariat on the basis of future updates and inputs from Member States.
