As a way to promote access to astronomy and space science data, and to extend the potential of scientific discovery to the world at large for research, education and inspiration among all user communities, the United Nations and the Government of Italy are organizing the UN/ Italy Workshop on the Open Universe initiative. A preparatory expert meeting will take place at ASI headquarters in Rome. Attendance to the preparatory meeting is by invitation only.
