As the only UN's office entirely dedicated to space affairs, UNOOSA works across the legal, policy, scientific and technical aspects of the peaceful use of outer space. To enhance the impact and scale of this work, UNOOSA partners with stakeholders from across the international community, such as international organisations, national and regional space agencies and a range of other public, private, academic and civil society institutions.
The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) is at the forefront of leveraging space technologies to address humanity's most pressing challenges. Guided by its 2024-2030 Leadership Strategy, UNOOSA champions five key priorities: Space Sustainability, Space4ClimateAction, Space4SDGs, Spotlight on Developing Countries, and Engagement with Non-Governmental Actors.
These pillars underscore our commitment to ensuring that space remains a safe, inclusive, and transformative domain for global progress. UNOOSA's strategic initiatives provide essential tools and frameworks to empower nations-particularly developing countries to harness the benefits of space.
The UNOOSA fundraising initiative starts with five projects, each deeply aligned with UNOOSA's priorities, designed to maximize global impact:
Each of these projects addresses critical global challenges while ensuring that no one is left behind in the rapidly evolving space sector. Through your partnership and support, these initiatives can unlock the transformative potential of space technologies, enabling a safer, more sustainable, and equitable future for all. Together, we can build a world where space truly serves humanity.
