UNOOSA and UNDP, with assistance from other UNHQ colleagues and with technical support from DigitalGlobe, Inc. - a leading provider of Very High Resolution satellite imagery - and its partners (Esri, Development Seed, MDA, others TBC), cordially invite you to this event, starting at 10 AM on Monday 10th October in Conference Room 11 of the Secretariat Conference Building.
The event is organized and aimed primarily for staff of New York-based UN organizations as well as for Permanent Missions who wish to be better informed about such technologies, and will provide a high-level perspective on the benefits and applications of space-based imagery and space-derived geospatial information for global sustainable development and for responding to crisis events.
NGO and other partner organization representatives interested are also welcome to attend. Please note that external participants should register at least one week in advance to allow for access badge arrangements!
The Discovery Day also coincides with the last day of this year's World Space Week.
The Morning Session will be webcast on UNTV and recorded. Please check
