The 5th open informal session on "Public-private Partnerships and Innovative Funding Approaches in the United Nations System to Promote the Use of Space Technology and its Applications" was held on 18 January 2008 in Geneva in conjunction with the 28 th session of the United Nation Inter-Agency Meeting on Outer Space Activities.
The session was organized by the Office for Outer Space Affairs in cooperation with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Operational Satellite Applications Programme (UNOSAT) .
Speakers at the session included representatives of the United Nations Geographical Information Working Group (UNGIWG), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), and United Nations Institute for Training and Research Operational Satellite Applications Programme (UNOSAT).
