Each Centre provides in-depth education, research and application programmes for university educators, as well as research and application scientists with an initial emphasis on space-based remote sensing, satellite communications, satellite meteorology and space sciences. The Centres are affiliated with the United Nations through a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs.
