Open sessions of UN-Space, with the participation of Member States and others, promote multi-stakeholder engagement and dialogue and showcase examples of how the United Nations system works on selected space-related themes.
The 19th open informal session will focus on "Earth observation and integrated applications for disaster risk management and sustainable development". The morning session will address disaster risk management and the afternoon sustainable development. Speakers will include representatives of a wide range United Nations entities, ASI, members of industry and more. There will also be opportunitites for interactives discussions and informal networking.
All Member States are invited to attend the 19th open session. Representatives of Member States are requested to confirm attendance by no later than 2 October 2023 with the UN-Space Secretariat: un-space[@]un.org
